D.I.Y.

OK, so, when I was at home last week, my mam handed me a bag saying one of our neighbours had brought it round, saying "though your daughter might be able to do something with this, since she does fashion and all".

Ahhhh there are perks! Oh yes.

Anyway, this was what was in the bag (low quality pic alert! It was too dark...)

So to kill time during the week, I shortened it, and the sleeves, and it now looks like this:

Cute, free, lace dress? Hells yes.
And the lace I cut off the bottom makes an awesome belt/scarf/thing...

Oh! And this is the sequin cardi I got at the shopping party at the East End Thrift Store. Yeah, I'm wearing it as a dress.

I'm back in Newcastle now; and I am blaming this for my lack of posting. My aim this summer/in life is too do something interesting/cultural/productive every day - so far, since saturday, I've done some more DIY projects (there will be pics, when I wear these things, more than likely. Lazy.) and settled in, and been swimming with Luke as promised.
More posts to come.

Purchases; Part One

Because I have packed my camera cable and haven't uploaded the pics from Wednesday/Thursday nights vintage hunting. Which also means I haven't uploaded my 'spotted: Blaine from Mystery Jets' photo either. I'm 99.9% positive it was him.

But yes,
Matalan = underrated.
Observe the shoes/rings/headband.

I wore the ones pictured on my feet to Amy's 18th; they are awesome. And the blue ones! ♥ They had nice clothes too, but yknow, I'm all about shoes right now.

And always.

-------------------

Today is my last full day in London! And I have no money, cos I had to cancel my bank card. So I have 20 quid, which needs to be spent on sending stuff for ebay cos I can't fit them in my bags to take home and post later.
Le sigh.

Family Affair

I have a lot to blog about, what with the weekend, and today's happenings, and recent purchases and such, but one thing at a time, ey? I'll leave something to blog about tomorrow.

This is much more a 'what I've done' post than anything, prepare for a number of family photos!

So Sunday was the Christening.
I was sure I had an outfit picture!
But apparantly not.
I think there's one on someone's camera, somewhere. I'll wait for facebook to throw it up.

Until then; Donna, John and baby Lewis at the church :)

Monday was Amy's 18th; me and mam went shopping during the day. I carried on the gothic vibe I was working on Saturday (and today...)

(Jacket from ebay; grey cardi from Uniqlo; dress from charity shop (Y); grey bodysuit from Topshop, via work; boots from Asos)

...and bought various things, all of which will be delved into at a later date. Note the obligatory myspace pose above. Classy.

And then, we went for a meal on the night, to Whitworth Hall (aka I can't remember the name of the pub at Whitworth Hall, it used to be Shaftos. Had a very nice/large curry)...

The eye tree! Freaky.
Lots of cute deer and squirrels (or squiggles, as we refer to them XD)!

So yeah, I came back on yesterday, and found myself sitting with 3 lads on the way to Glasto; via Brighton. They were alright, good craic like. Which is always appreciated when the sun is so bright you can't see your screen. ><.
